Julia Prusi (nee Janka) is an illustrator, visual artist, graphic designer and Master of Economics. Variety and exploring different genres are the key elements of her work: Prusi paints and photographs, illustrates natural scientific and medical materials as well as books and book covers, and designs textures and patterns. She also creates illustrations and murals both indoors and out – for private homes and public spaces as well as for shop windows. Thanks to her traditional education in the arts, she masters several painting and drawing techniques. As a graphic designer, she is also an accomplished digital illustrator.
Prusi is a keen plant and insect enthusiast, so teaching nature awareness is something that is close to her heart. In the winter time, she gives butterflies, dragonflies, beetles and wild plants new life and form in her paintings, and she dreams of illustrating non-fiction books and dioramas in the future.
