One month ago I started working in a new atelier called Studio 6. There are four illustrators, me included, and two photographers working together in Turtola. The studio is very well located, has lots of parking space and also near my home. 

I've decided on doing a 365 day drawing challenge: http://instagram.com/juliaprusi. I’m going to make a post every fourth day with four sketches. I’ve given myself this challenge to improve both my observational abilities and my drawing skills. For this project I’ll not hesitate to explore styles and techniques I’m currently not familiar with. I’m excited to see how my style and skills will evolve!

Summer months were filled with the warmth of the sun. I had a really long and relaxing holiday with the kids. Floating in the lake, camping, catching butterflies and fish, sleeping naps, listening to the sounds of nature in Lapland, taking a bath in the smoke sauna.

Now, in August mornings are already misty and evenings golden. Like spring, autumn is a season of change. Both are beautiful, I think.

Painting spring

For a long time it was dark and rainy, but today a little below zero and the glorious sunshine! I got to spend the whole day painting a one-page artwork for my next book. I got to use bright watercolors and explore the delicate baby-topic.
